I've Been Watching You The Forensic Files Book 1 eBook KA Richardson

I finished reading this book after the plot became inconsistent and confusing, although reading the last 100 pages wads overflowing with grammar and spelling mistakes and a total waste of my time. Can you say EDITOR? Around midway the entire plot became inconsistent and confusing and then failed to explain the reason for involvement of 3 different characters, none of which were actually involved in the main plot of a woman being attacked. It simply did not make any sense whatsoever. This was a free read on Kindle, and I got exactly what I paid for, NOTHING. None of the characters were well developed, and even though this book started to have some potential for a fun read, it failed miserably to deliver. Skip this one!

I've Been Watching You The Forensic Files Book 1 eBook KA Richardson Reviews

Took awhile to get into the book before I became involved in the story , but in the end it becomes interesting.
I've been watching you! Just the thought of being watched while unaware of the watcher sends shivers down my spine. The horrors of being watched for reasons of raping and killing is the evil of a psychopath.
This story puts you on your tires. You never know when someone wants to do you harm. Even after they've done you wrong, the evil that they have in their sick minds compels them to continue down that path.
Someone very bad is watching and he is very dangerous.
The. action, suspense and twists keep the story moving. Re ad this when you won't be interrupted or alone!
My only negative is that there isn't a book to follow this one, so we know what happened to the killer. I immediately went to to find a follow up and there is none. Darn!
A great story line, well developed characters and fast paced, twists galore. Loved Ben, although it threw me for a bit because I normally associate the name as a man, but low and behold, Ben is a female, broken from her past but coping well, well enough to elude a bad man, for a few years. Lots of twists, romance budding with Jacob, as we hurtle to another twist. Loved this story, not a lot of gore or excessive swearing. All leads to a great story, that left me stunned.
The prolog gives the impression this is going to be a serial killer novel. But then it shifts to more of a character study as Richardson explores each one’s past and motivations. l0% into the book, nothing has happened except the characters going about their daily lives, and I’m getting bored.

20% into this book, it’s clear it is a serial killer novel. And that doubles the boredom factor. Why? Because what separates one serial killer novel from another? Nothing! They’re all the same, everything about them identical.

I found the choice of ‘Ben’ as the female lead’s name very confusing – especially since we’re never told it is a diminutive form of something or nickname until way late in the story. Up to that point, every time the POV changed from another character to her, it took a second to mentally connect ‘Ben’ to a female character. You don’t want readers dropping out of the flow of a story every few scenes to make that adjustment.

Finally, about 50% into the book things started happening. That’s way too late in a thriller/suspense novel. At least half of those almost 150 pages could be cut to make a tauter, better paced novel.

Plenty of grammar errors in this download. Apostrophes missing from possessives, inserted into plurals; wrong words, missed and extra commas. Is there an editor in the house?

Another instance of telling me how many pages are in a book but unable to number those pages in the download. Good job, .

The only good thing about this book is it was free. And even that was too high a price for this dud of a novel.
